Monday, December 18

Teddy Bear Suite Visit a festively decorated suite filled with teddy bears of all sizes. Admission by suggested donation, benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through Dec. 26. Fairmont Olympic Hotel (Downtown Seattle).

Reindeer Festival Visit reindeer Dasher and Blitzen, and Curly the camel, plus see a model train layout. Also, enjoy free music with Solstice Cello Concert (6 p.m. Dec. 21). 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Dec. 23, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 24. Swansons Nursery (Blue Ridge).

Seattle Center Winterfest Check out the model train and village in the Armory (10 a.m. to 6 p.m daily closes 4 p.m. on Dec. 24, and closed Dec. 25), ice sculpting, and an ice skating rink (through Jan. 2). Also in the Armory, this week’s entertainment lineup features Jingle Bell Rock: A Puppet Show (12:30 p.m. Dec. 18), Klezkidz (12:30 p.m. Dec. 19), Magician Joey Pipia (12:30 p.m. Dec. 20), Holiday Harmony (12:30 p.m. Dec. 22), Unexpected Productions Improv (12:30 p.m. Dec. 23), and more. Children’s Hour at Scarecrow Video Preschoolers are invited to watch short, educational videos, followed by story time and a hands-on art activity. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Scarecrow Video (Roosevelt).

Snow Show at Pacific Place It "snows" nightly in the four-story atrium of Pacific Place. Enjoy live music on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. 6 and 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, 5 and 6 p.m. Sundays, through Dec. 24. Pacific Place (Downtown Seattle).

Ivar’s Clam Lights Renton’s holiday light display featuring thousands of lights shines nightly through Jan. 1. 5 to 9 p.m. Gene Coulon Beach Park (Renton).

 

Tuesday, December 19

Caspar Babypants Rock out to popular kindie musician, Caspar Babypants as he plays old favorites and tunes from his new album, Jump for Joy. 10:30 a.m. Third Place Books (Lake Forest Park).

 

Wednesday, December 20

Toddler Time with Environmental Science Center Kids ages 2 to 4 and their caregivers can enjoy songs, stories, and other seasonal themed hands-on activities followed by outdoor exploration (weather permitting). 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Environmental Science Center (Burien).

 

Thursday, December       

Cartoon Happy Hour Watch cartoons on the big screen and enjoy snacks ($). 5 to 7 p.m. Central Cinema (Central District).

 

Saturday, December 23

Christmas Ship Grand Finale Night Enjoy tasty treats by the bonfire while waiting for the Argosy Christmas Ship to arrive (8:45 p.m.) with live music from The Dickens Carolers. This is the last night, but check out earlier stops throughout the week, see the full schedule here. Gas Works Park (Lake Union). 

Children's Holiday Story Time Enjoy fun readings from picture and storybooks every Saturday morning. This morning, enjoy holiday classics including How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. Recommended for ages 2 and older.  11 a.m. Elliot Bay Books (Capitol Hill).

Drag Santa Story Time A local Drag Queen will read The Night Before Christmas for all ages at 2:30 p.m. Pictures with Drag Santa will be available (1 to 4 p.m. $10, free for children). Also check out the Local Crafts Fair (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). 1 to 4 p.m. Horizon Books (Capitol Hill).
