Monday, March 5

PJ Library Song & Story Time Kids and parents can enjoy singing, hands-on activities, and storytelling from PJ Library’s Jewish-themed children’s books. All are welcome. 11 a.m. Third Pace Books – Lake Forest Park.


Tuesday, March 6

University Village Playdays Each week, enjoy a different craft or fun activity. This week, Kumon is hosting with an educational activity. 10 a.m. University Village – Kumon (U District).


Wednesday, March 7

Top Ten Toys Game Night New games and old favorites for all ages will be available to play.  6 to 7 p.m. Top Ten Toys (Greenwood).

Sanctuary in the City – Concert Enjoy classical music in this free concert series by Pacific MusicWorks held on the first Wednesday of each month. Today, hear music from a Baroque flute and harpsichord duo. 12:10 p.m. Christ Our Hope Catholic Church (Belltown).

Open Play Throughout the month of March the Seattle Children’s PlayGarden is open on select dates. Today, conquer an obstacle course. 2 to 5:30 p.m. Seattle Children’s PlayGarden (Central District).


Thursday, March 8

Children's Hour at Scarecrow Video Using a combination of short films, books curated by the Seattle Public Library, and hands-on art activities, children will learn about animal life in this weekly series. 10:30 a.m. Scarecrow Video (Ravenna).

Cartoon Happy Hour Watch cartoons on the big screen and enjoy snacks ($). 5 to 7 p.m. Central Cinema (Central District).


Friday, March 9

Ni Hao! Chinese Story Time Enjoy stories, culture and activities in Mandarin Chinese with storyteller Hua Zhang. For children who speak Chinese and those interested in the language. 11 a.m. Shoreline Library (Shoreline).


Saturday, March 10

Rock & Gem Show Explore a world of rocks and our state gemstone—petrified wood. Enjoy kids activities, S.T.E.A.M. activities, demonstrations, displays, Rockosaurus rides, and door prizes. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday. Crown Hill Center (Crown Hill).

Second Saturday Spectacular: Eli Rosenblatt Eli's original songs feature his signature mix of global sounds including salsa, reggae, hip-hop, American folk music and funk. FREE tickets available online. 3 p.m. University Heights Center (U District).

Free Family Weekend Walk Enjoy a 90-minute walk, and stop along the way for games, hands-on activities and learning geared toward children (ages 2 to 12). Meet in front of the Graham Visitors Center at 1 p.m. Washington Park Arboretum (Montlake).


Sunday, March 11

Sunday Public Sail Each Sunday, the Center for Wooden Boats offers free 45-minute rides on Lake Union. Set sail on one of the beautiful, classic boats. Sign up for a slot in person, several trips throughout the day starting at 10 a.m. Space is limited.  Center for Wooden Boats (South Lake Union).
