Cookies and cream for a good cause at CookieFest 2015

Pour the milk and grab your plates as CookieFest returns on Saturday, Dec. 12 as part of Seattle Center’s Winterfest. This year, more than 20 local bakeries and culinary schools have joined forces to donate thousands upon thousands of holiday-inspired treats to sell at Seattle’s ultimate pop-up bake sale. Participants this year include Flying Apron Bakery, Little Rae’s, Tom Douglas Restaurants and many more. Cookies are priced at $15 per dozen or $1.50 each, with all proceeds going to Seattle Milk Fund’s Child Care and Family Support Program. Doors open at 10 a.m., but lines are common and they sell out early, so plan to get there ahead of time. Whether you’re buying treats as holiday gifts or for your own family, Cookiefest has you covered. Although with Darigold providing free milk at the event, you might not have any left to bring home.
