For the early risers among us, it can be tricky to find a place to swing by that’s open at oh-dark-hundred hours, especially with hungry little passengers to feed as well. Check out these Seattle gems to get your early-morning caffeine (and breakfast) fix.

Open at 6 am weekdays

Three Girls Bakery | Coffee and pastries

Three Girls, a Pike Place institution, serves up stellar baked goods and breads.

1514 Pike Pl, Seattle, WA 98101

Caffe Vita | Coffee

Caffe Vita’s six Seattle locations all open at 6 am, so you can get your espresso fix and a cocoa for the little ones.

Pioneer Square: 125 Prefontaine Pl S

Pike: 1005 E Pike St

Essential Baking Company | Coffee, pastries, and lunch to go

Swing by one of Essential Baking Company’s four locations for breakfast: they’ve got croissants, muffins, and scones as well as Victrola coffee and Columbia Gorge juices for little ones. You can also pick up a freshly made sandwich there; they’ve got vegan and meat options, like the hummus-tomato-arugula sandwich on multigrain or the awesome Pesto Chicken on focaccia.

Nab a great New York-style deli sandwich at Trinity; pair it with a latte and a lox bagel to go and you’ve got breakfast covered for you and your kiddos.

4301 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, 98105

Cafe Cesura | Coffee and breakfast

Cafe Cesura’s rad muffins and croissants are majorly kid-friendly. Try the Honey Cinnamon latte instead of your regular ‘spro.

Jucivana | Coffee and smoothies

Jucivana’s freshly-blended smoothies come with a yogurt base (wonderfully tangy) or an orange juice base (totally classic). Best of all, it’s a drive-thru, so you can swing by with backseat warriors in tow. Kids will adore the Chocolate Peanut Butter or the Strawbana (strawberry banana) smoothie.

110 Boren Ave South, Seattle, 98144

Open at 7 am weekdays

Cortona Cafe | Coffee, pastries, and breakfast

Cortona is perhaps most renowned for its stellar waffles, but they’ve also got espresso and pastries to go. Grab a vegan pop-tart for your kiddo and a latte or chai for you.

Bang Bang Cafe | Coffee and breakfast
