Family-friendly New Year's Eve events around Seattle, 2018

Who’s ready for a new year? We sure are! The following Seattle-area events are designed to let families celebrate the start of 2019 together. 

 

Kids Discovery Museum (KiDimu)

The Kids Discovery Museum on Bainbridge Island celebrates Noon Year’s Eve. Enjoy special activities leading up to a balloon drop at noon. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Included with admission. 301 Ravine Lane NE, Bainbridge Island.

Hands On Children’s Museum

Olympia’s children’s museum is going to have a ball-drop every hour plus the chance for kids to carouse with various children’s book characters. For example, they can explore engineering & pneumatics with the Three Little Pigs and experience chemistry demos & Oobleck with 'Dr. Seuss'. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 414 Jefferson St. NE, Olympia.

 

Imagine Children’s Museum

Wear your PJs to this evening party for families that features live entertainment, art activities, games, and a 9 p.m. ball drop. Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. 1502 Wall St., Everett.

 

Moisture Festival New Year's Eve Extravaganza

Ideal for families with older kids who want a fancier evening, this event features variety show performances, appetizers, balloons dropping at midnight, and dancing. 8 p.m. Tickets $75 for adults, $100 after Christmas. Youth tickets are $50. Hale’s Palladium, 4301 Leary Way NW.
