Funding Available to Support Arts Training for Seattle Youth

Youth Arts is an annual funding program that supports arts training for Seattle's middle and high school youth outside of school hours. Youth Arts provides funding for projects in all artistic disciplines led by experienced teaching artists.

Funds are open to artists, arts/cultural organizations, youth-service agencies and, new this year, degree-granting, higher education institutions.

Funding awards range up to $10,000. Priority is given to programs serving youth or communities with limited access to arts and culture. The project implementation dates are September 2014 through September 2015.

The deadline for application is Tuesday, Feb. 4. Find the guidelines and online application here.

Contact Irene Gómez at irene.gomez@seattle.gov or 206-684-7310 with questions about the program and proposals. To learn more about Youth Arts, visit www.seattle.gov/arts/funding/youth_arts.asp.
