Find one-of-a-kind gifts and support local artists at South Park's Art Under $100


While many holiday craft fairs and bazaars take place in November, there are those of us who can’t begin to think about holiday shopping until December rears its tinseled head. Fear not! There are still plenty of fairs and festivals that will allow you to load up on feel-good, locally made, handcrafted gifts. Now, whether or not you fess up to whose hands made those gifts is  up to you.

The Kent Commons Holiday Bazaar is a destination for more than 100 vendors from all over Western Washington. The bazaar packs both days with handcrafted gifts, live music and food. Urban Craft Uprising is Seattle’s largest indie craft fair and it’s here just in time for the holidays. With more than 150 vendors, swag bags and all manner of handcrafted goods, you’ll find something for everyone on your list... and probably a few somethings for yourself. South Park Arts is hosting its 10th annual Art under $100 event at the Seattle Design Center in Georgetown. In addition to all of the affordable, locally made art, there’ll be food trucks, libations and a raffle. The Makery — a free, all-ages, mobile art lab — will be on-site with plenty of reclaimed and recycled materials waiting for your creative vision. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2-9 p.m. southparkarts.org

The Phinney Neighborhood Association hosts more than 100 artists and crafts vendors, live entertainment, a quilt raffle and a bake sale at its Winter Festival and Crafts Fair. The fair supports vital community PNA programs and projects, including the PNA Hot Meal Program and the Greenwood Senior Center. Phinney Center. The Schack Art Center in Everett is hosting its annual Fa-La-La holiday fine arts and crafts sale. In addition to the wares from local artists, there will be a happy hour each afternoon with live entertainment and plenty of fa-la-laing.
