Make the most of your weekend at the Seattle Street Food Festival

Today kicks off the Seattle Street Food Festival in South Lake Union, the third annual celebration of the best cuisine and libations around. This year’s festival stretches for four entire city blocks, making it one of the biggest food festivals in Seattle. The festival kicks off on August 14 at 3 pm and runs through Sunday August 16

This year’s program features a whopping sixty local vendors, some with trucks and others with booths and pop-ups at the festival. Highlights include Ezell’s Express, My Sweet Lil Cakes, Luchador Taco Co., Nuflours Bakery (for the gluten-free set), and a host of other stellar local restaurants and vendors.

Entry to the festival is free, so you can enter and eat as much or as little as you’d like. Parking can get a little wild, so plan to park at one of the seven lots within walking distance of the festival or bus your way down to South Lake Union.

Elysian hosts this year’s beer garden, which is 21+; tag team with your partner and grab a $4 brew if you can. Today’s event features Great State Burgers for $5, too! The festival opens at 3 pm and runs until 9 pm; head out early to beat the crowds if you have little ones, or go a bit later with your older kids. 217 9th Ave N, Seattle, 98109
