On September 17, the Northwest African American Museum hosts a reading with two members of Seattle's "Gang of Four." Seattle activists and organizers Bernie Whitebear, Bob Santos, Roberto Maestas, and Larry Gossett, known as the "Gang of Four," founded Seattle's Minority Executive Directors Coalition, an organization dedicated to social justice and community leadership for people of color. All four were prominent radical minority activists in the 1960s and 70s, all going on to leadership positions in the community.

NAAM brings two of the four, Larry Gossett and Bob Santos, to a reading from Santos's new book, The Gang of Four: Four Leaders, Four Communities, One Friendship. The book traces the activists' history and relationships with one another, documenting their political work as well as their friendships.

The Gang of Four event happens on September 17 from 7 to 9 pm at NAAM2300 S Massachusetts Street, Seattle, 98144
