Spaces for Kids to Play with Food and Drink for Adults

Seattle is host to some seriously cool kids’ playspaces. A handful of play centers around town also cater to grownup needs, featuring more extensive menus and beverage service. While the kids get their wiggles out, you can relax with a snack (or full meal!) and a drink in hand.

Another Castle Arcade

Edmonds’ Another Castle is a sweet arcade that’s adjacent to Another Castle’s game store. This all-ages venue features a robust selection of arcade games, so video game enthusiasts will be able to find a game that they dig. Another Castle serves bottled beer, but no wine or spirits.

Hours: Mon through Thurs, 5 pm to 11 pm; Fri, 2 pm to 2 am; Sat, 12 pm to 2 am; Sun, 12 pm to 10 pm.

23303 Highway 99, Suite C, Edmonds, 98026

Cafe Mox

Inside Ballard's Card Kingdom is the lovely Café Mox, a cafe with small bites, salads, and sandwiches. Best of all, you can borrow board games from Card Kingdom to play while you nosh!

Hours: Mon through Fri,  11 am to 12 am; Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 12 am.

5105 Leary Ave NW, Seattle,  98107

Round1 Bowling & Amusement

Seated in the Southcenter mall, Round1 is an all-ages bowling and arcade game venue with so many awesome games, you’ll want to dive into the fun alongside your kids. They’ve got a truly massive game selection and a fairly extensive menu that’s mostly tailored to younger tastes (pizza, hot dogs, nachos, and cheeseburgers), but their options for draft and bottled beer as well as wine and sake mixed drinks more than make up for it.

Hours: Daily, 10 am to 2 am.

2351 Southcenter Mall, Seattle, 98188

Mega game complex GameWorks is a space where kids can play video games while parents nosh and drink. Pop by during happy hour from 3 to 7 pm.

Hours: Mon through Weds, 11 am to 12 am; Thurs and Fri, 11 am to 1am; Sat, 10 am to 1 am; Sun, 10 am to 12 am.

1511 7th Ave, Seattle, 98101

Mox Boarding House

Sister location to Cafe Mox, Mox Boarding House features a slightly different menu and twenty beers on tap.

Hours: Mon through Fri, 11 am to 12 am; Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 12 am.

13310 Bel-Red Rd, Bellevue, 98005

PlayDate SEA

PlayDate SEA is a kids’ play haven designed with parents in mind. In the words of the owners, “we created PlayDate to have an environment that could be enjoyed by both parents and their children.” The space offers a seemingly endless maze of play structures for kids, as well as an extensive menu with plenty of kid-centric picks. Their beer and wine menu rotates.

Hours: Sun through Thurs, 9 am to 8 pm; Fri and Sat, 9 am to 9 pm. Open play closes at 6 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays for laser tag.

1275 Mercer St, Seattle, 98109

Magnolia’s Serendipity is a cafe with a cool kids’ playspace (featuring toys and a chalkboard) and a full kids’ menu. Beer and wine are served.

Hours: 7 am to 9 pm daily.

3222 W McGraw St, Seattle, 98199
