The First Tee of Greater Seattle is a youth development organization that transforms the golf course into a classroom for kids 5 to 18 years old. The First Tee is a progressive program with golf skills and life skills seamlessly integrated into all activities. At the heart of the program is The First Tee’s proven Life Skills Curriculum. Each weekly golf class is dedicated to using the game of golf to instill in participants The First Tee Nine Core Values of Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Courtesy, Perseverance, Judgment, and Sportsmanship.
Eight-week seasonal classes are offered year-round and meet weekly at four golf course locations in King County including Jefferson Park in Beacon Hill, Jackson Park in North Seattle, Riverbend Golf Complex in Kent, and Crossroads Par-3 in Bellevue. All equipment is provided and scholarships are available upon request. Teen-only and all-girls classes are also available.
Membership in The First Tee also includes additional benefits outside of class time including discounted course access, clinics, competitive experiences, family days, and opportunities to apply for national camps, workshops, and college scholarships.
