Seattle-area students: Nominate your teacher for this great prize

For the 16th year, Ivar’s and Kidd Valley are looking for K-8 students to nominate a teacher for the 2019 Teacher of the Year honors.

The two grand-prize honorees will each receive a $500 gift card to purchase for classroom supplies, a commemorative plaque and the official title of either Ivar’s Teacher of the Year or Kidd Valley Teacher of the Year. In addition, four first-place winners will receive a $150 gift card for classroom supplies, and 30 teachers will receive a second-place prize of a $25 Ivar’s or Kidd Valley gift card.

Plus, the nominating student will receive either an Ivar’s or Kidd Valley Kids Meal for every student in their class. (The Ivar's option comes with the bonus of a visit by the famous Dancing Clam.)

Students may pick up an entry form at select Puget Sound-area Ivar’s or Kidd Valley locations or online. All entries must be received by May 20, 2019.

The 2018 Ivar’s and Kidd Valley Teacher of the Year grand prize winners were HaLee Webster of Crestwood Elementary in Kent and Tamara Zulauf and Christine Bruil of Lake Tapps Elementary in Lake Tapps.
