Remember, everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. Don your green and go enjoy some family-friendly festivities:

 

Friday, March 15

Leprechaun Hunt
Four things attract leprechauns: shamrocks, mischief, rainbows and gold. Find these things during a garden scavenger hunt, and you could win a prize. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sun. FREE, donations welcomed. Kruckeberg Botanic Garden, Shoreline.

St. Patrick's Day Game Night
BYO board game or try one in the club's collection. There'll be bingo and prizes, too. Kids can chill out in the X-box room with free soda while parents sip a pint of Guinness at the cash bar. 6 to 9 p.m. FREE. Mount Baker Community Club, Seattle.

Blarney Bash
Wear green and add a little magic to your St. Paddy's day festivities with a magic show by AlakaSam. 6:30 p.m. $5. Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center, NE Seattle.

Green Stripe Laying
This mini parade marks the route of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade down 4th Avenue, starting at Jefferson Street. Grab spot on the flat-bed truck that paints the green stripe along 4th Ave. in preparation for Saturday’s big parade. The trip will end with watching as the Irish Heritage Club paints a large shamrock in the street. Climb on board at a location in Pioneer Square near the old FX McRory’s at 6:30 pm for the trip. 419 Occidental Ave. S., Seattle. 

 

Saturday, March 16

Toddler Shamrock Fest
Little leprechauns, ages 1 to 5, celebrate with coloring, arts and crafts, a toddler gym, snacks and more. 10 a.m. to noon. FREE. Rainier Community Center, Seattle.

St. Patrick's Day at the Farm
Hunt for a pot of gold in the barnyard while you get up close with cute animals. For ages 3 to 6. Preregister. 10 to 11:30 a.m. Kelsey Creek Farm, Bellevue.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Individuals are welcome to join the parade. Route follows Fourth Avenue starting at Jefferson, ending at Seattle Center. 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. FREE. Downtown Seattle.

Irish Festival
Music, dancing, food, workshops, arts and crafts, cultural displays, contests, family activities and more. Noon. to 6 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday. FREE. Seattle Center Armory, Lower Queen Anne.

 

Sunday, March 17

Leprechaun Lap and St. Patrick's Day Dash
Kids ages 9 and younger can do the nearly 1K Leprechaun Lap at the start of the St. Patrick’s Day Dash 5K. 8 a.m. Preregister. Seattle Center, Lower Queen Anne.

St. Patrick's Day at Point Defiance Zoo
Search for green animals, talk with zookeepers and watch animals enjoy lucky treats. 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Point Defiance Zoo, Tacoma.
