Top Brunch Options for Mother's Day

Nine mouth-watering brunch options where Mom can be spoiled and the kids will feel right at home

Tom Douglas Restaurants

Mother's Day is fast approaching; it's time to celebrate all the wonderful moms in your life (hey moms, this means you, too!). Here are a few great brunch options where Mom can be spoiled and the kids will feel right at home.

Etta's

This Tom Douglas standout, just down from Pike Place Market, offers a delicious brunch menu on weekends, and always does a little something extra for moms on Mother's Day. Their Dungeness crab Benedict is one of the most perfect breakfasts in town, and kids go nuts over the French toast, or the fish and chips served with perfectly crispy hand-cut fries. Best of all, if the kids get squirrely, you can take them to watch the ferries outside or explore the eclectic offerings of the market. 32020 Western Ave., Seattle.

Palisade

If you’re looking to treat your mom to a stunning view of the water and a show-stopping buffet, head to Magnolia's Palisade. Perfect for seafood lovers, you’ll find sumptuous platters of Dungeness and snow crab, poached shrimp, seasonal oysters, house-cured salmon and more. They also offer a vibrant array of fruit and salads, made-to-order omelets, prime-rib carving stations, and a wide range of decadent desserts and baked goods. The griddlecake grill with its customizable pancakes is a big hit for kids—as are the dark- and white-chocolate fountains. Be sure to treat Mom with one of their bottomless fresh-squeezed mimosas! Adults $65; kids $21, kids age 4 and under, free. 32601 W. Marina Pl., Seattle.

Tilth

Brunch is the perfect time to bring your kiddos to experience Maria Hines' award-winning restaurant, located in a beautiful Craftsman house in Wallingford. This Mother's Day, Hines will offer a three-course prix-fixe brunch menu, and the kids will most certainly devour her freshly made baked goods and homemade granola. 31411 N. 45th St., Seattle.

Six Seven Restaurant and Lounge

For Mother’s Day, the culinary team at the Edgewater has prepared an out-of-this-world brunch buffet with fresh organic ingredients. Kids will gobble up the cinnamon and sugar French toast with strawberries and whipped cream, and moms looking for lighter fare will enjoy the chilled melon, berry and citrus with maple yogurt and granola. Not to mention, the view is award-winning. 11 am - 2:30 pm. $80 per person, kids ages 4-12, $40. 2411 Alaskan Way, Seattle.

Preservation Kitchen

Head to this Bothell favorite for an a la carte Mother’s Day brunch or dinner. The menus are seasonal and support local producers and organic, sustainable ingredients whenever possible. Duck confit omelet? Steak and grits? Bacon buttermilk pancakes? There are plenty of mouth-watering options. 9 am - 2 pm. 17121 Bothell Way, Bothell.

Dunbar Room at the Hotel Sorrento

Celebrate Mom with a brunch at the historic Hotel Sorrento. The bright but cozy space is reminiscent of a Parisian train-station bistro or midtown Manhattan cafe, and the Italian-inspired menu features fresh Northwest seafood and locally raised meats. Try the omelet bar! For parties of 6 or more, reserve online. $34 per person, $12 for kids, 4 and under eat free. 8 am - 1 pm. 900 Madison St., Seattle.

Ray’s Boathouse and Cafe

Spoil mom with delicious, fresh seafood and stunning waterfront views this Mother’s Day. The buffet will feature a variety of fresh salads, sweet and savory breakfast foods and decadent desserts. The famous carving station with house-smoked salmon and raw bar with oysters on the half-shell will also be making an appearance. Reservations are highly recommended. $65 per person, $32.50 for kids ages 5-11. 6049 Seaview Ave. NW, Seattle.

The Georgian

For a little bit of a different spin on the typical Mother’s Day brunch head to The Georgian Room at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel for Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea. This traditional afternoon tea will include a delightfully decadent dessert buffet. Valet parking included in the price. Contact The Georgian at 206-621-7889 for reservations. $85 for adults, $35 for kids ages 3-12. Saturday and Sunday, May 12 and 13, 12:15-3:15 pm. 411 University St., Seattle.

Goldfinch Tavern

The three-course brunch at the Four Seasons Hotel is a feast with half-shell Puget Sound oysters, maple bacon skewers, seared scallops, crab Florentine Benedict, strawberry rhubarb French toast, and more.
