Where to Share a Thanksgiving Meal with Your Community

There are dinner and other food options throughout the holiday week.

Some families seek out community-based Thanksgiving dinners because they need a safe place for their family to gather for a meal, or because they’re looking to enjoy the holiday with others in the community, or because this year the cost of preparing the meal is a difficult stretch, or all of the above. Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 23 this year, but there are dinner and other food options available for area families throughout the week: 




Cathedral Kitchen at St. James Cathedral

Free. Everyone welcome, no service required.  Please don’t arrive before 2:30 pm, dinner tickets will be handed out in front of Cathedral Hall (located on Columbia Street, between Ninth and Terry).

Community Thanksgiving Dinner by Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes

Thurs., Nov. 23, noon to 3 pm

Free. A very family-friendly sit-down dinner complete with tablecloths and china for anyone and everyone in the community.

Mario D. Bailey Foundation’s Family Feast
