It may be Fourth of July weekend, but it’s Christmas to Disney. Disney’s A Christmas Carol Train Tour is on a 40-stop journey this summer to promote a 3D movie of the same name opening in theaters this fall. The decked-out train pulls into Seattle’s King Street Station July 3 for a three-day visit.
The train features sneak peeks of the film; authentic artifacts from the Charles Dickens Museum of London; carolers; demonstrations of the performance capture technology Disney used in making the film (star Jim Carrey plays seven roles, including Scrooge and all the Christmas spirits); and a chance to morph your face into one of the film’s characters using HP TouchSmart PCs.
The train is free to visit and both Disney and partner, HP, will be offering giveaways.
