Half-Price Tickets to Seattle Entertainment

Finally, there is a way to enjoy local theater and music for half-price. Internet company, Goldstar, officially launched its online services in Seattle this month.

Led by organizations such as Intiman Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, The 5th Avenue Theatre, University of Washington's Meany Hall, Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and McCaw Hall, the Seattle arts community campaigned successfully to bring Goldstar to Seattle, its ninth major market.

Created by e-commerce experts, Goldstar sells half-price tickets online to theatre, concerts, dance, comedy, sports, social/professional networking events and more. There are anywhere between 900 and 1,200 events on the site at any given time.

It is free for venues to list their shows on the site and they receive the cost of the ticket when it has been purchased. Goldstar charges a service fee to purchasers at checkout, which averages about $4.50. It is free for members to join Goldstar and each week they receive a custom e-mail with event offerings at half-price.
