Kids Helping Kids Coin Drive

Wellspring Family Services is holding a coin drive contest to encourage families to collect donations to help end homelessness for kids in King County. Coin drives are a fun way to get children involved in the cause, as they can host a lemonade stand or bake sale, start a penny drive or collect coins in their communities.

Children are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population in the U.S. today. In fact, more than 2,000 children are homeless each night in King County. To collect coins for this cause, register online at www.kidshelpingkidsseattle.org, or call Wellspring Family Services at 206-826-3038. Families who submit donations by Sept. 1 have a chance to win their own, original song by Caspar Babypants (aka Chris Ballew of The Presidents of U.S.A.).
