Assistance League of Seattle to Offer Summer Enrichment Scholarships
The Assistance League of Seattle has announced that it will offer enrichment scholarships for summer 2013. The program is open to middle and high school students, in grades 6 through 11, in the Seattle School District, including home schooled students with public school affiliation.
Almost any area in which students display a keen interest will be considered. Exceptions not covered by the program include religious studies, sports exclusive camps, foreign study or exchange programs, private lessons or any transportation affiliated with a program.
Last year the Assistance League awarded 70 summer scholarships for a total of $32,000 to students in 17 of the Seattle school district middle and high schools.
The deadline for applications is Monday, April 8. If you know a youth that would benefit from this assistance, direct them to the Assistance League of Seattle’s website for the application form. If you have questions, email Mickey Sweeney at msweeneym@comcast.net or Carol Singler at simone4@comcast.net.
