Carnation Youth Finishes Fourth in World Pokémon Championship
Twelve-year-old Henry Maxon from Carnation finished fourth in the world at the 2012 Pokémon Video Game Championship, held in Hawaii Aug. 10 through 12. This was Maxon’s first year competing in the senior division (for kids born in 1997, 1998, 1999 or 2000).
The Pokémon Video Game World Championships are the ultimate test of a player’s Pokémon video game skills, strategy and creativity. The youth that beat Maxon ended up winning the championship.
