Alice in Wonderland Kicks Off New Dance Series
The International Ballet Theatre will launch a new series of dance performances created just for kids and their families – IBT for Children – with the premiere of Alice in Wonderland this weekend. This one-hour narrated show is based on the beloved Lewis Carroll book.
Two matinee performances of Alice in Wonderland will take place on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue (11100 N.E. 6th St.). The show is recommended for children ages 4 to 12 and features experienced student dancers from the International School of Classical Ballet, the preparatory school of International Ballet Theatre.
IBT for Children is designed to promote the performing arts in our community in two ways: by inspiring the student, who gets to perform for a live audience in a full-scale production; and by offering families a chance to witness a professional ballet company in a casual environment.
Tickets for Alice in Wonderland are $25 for children younger than 12, $35 for students ages 13 to 17, and $40 to $50 for adults. Both performances are expected to sell out, so get your tickets early. For tickets and more information, visit http://ibtproductions.com.
