Online Dyslexia Resource Guide Launched
The International Dyslexia Association - Washington Branch (WABIDA) recently launched the publication and posting of the Dyslexia Resource Guide at the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction website. This valuable resource was developed by WABIDA board members and volunteers and designed to provide guidance to schools and families about dyslexia.
With these goals in mind, the intent is to build an understanding of the term dyslexia, learn how to identify students with dyslexia, support teachers and parents in educating students with dyslexia, and provide guidance for administrators, educators and caregivers in making the best educational decisions for Washington students with dyslexia.
The Dyslexia Resource Guide serves one of the major component of the newly-established Washington State Dyslexia Resource Team. This is a collaborative effort between WABIDA, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Association of Educational Service Districts.
For more information, or to get involved with this effort in your area, contact info@wabida.org.
