If you think that fitting in a little leisurely wine tasting with your kids is totally out of the question, get ready to be pleasantly surprised. Head over to Woodinville for the day and visit these kid-friendly wineries and tasting rooms.
The idea for EFESTĒ started with the founders' desire to create a label that family and friends can enjoy together. From the moment we walked in with our two young kids, my friend and I were warmly welcomed. Nestled away in the Warehouse District of Woodinville, this winery has superb pours (I recommend the 2010 Big Papa Cabernet Sauvignon), friendly owners and staff and a cozy ambiance. 19730 144th Ave NE, Woodinville. 425-398-7200.
Three words: Ping pong table! My son is an active little guy and since this was the last stop on our wine tasting adventure for the day, we were thrilled to have something to keep him occupied while we enjoyed some vino. Listed as one of the Top 100 wineries in the world by Wine & Spirits, the wine is exceptional and the tasting room is spacious with ample seating, which is a bonus when bringing children along. 14475 Woodinville-Redmond Road, Woodinville. 425-415-3865.
I was skeptical when we first entered Trust, because it is a smaller tasting room with little seating. However, the temporary tattoos for the kiddos, coupled with the divine wine and excellent customer service, far outweighed the tight quarters. Put this one on your visit list. 14469 Woodinville-Redmond Road, Woodinville.
Hands-down the most beautiful location, Washington's oldest winery is located on 105 acres and has abundant room for little ones to play when they're getting antsy. Chateau Ste. Michelle offers complimentary tasting and tours, which last approximately 35 minutes (reservations are required for groups of 10 or larger; kids are welcome). 14111 NE 145th St, Woodinville. 425-488-1133.

You're all going to get hungry before too long. For a nearby bite, head over to The Commons for monster-sized homemade biscuits and burgers (there's also a big old kids' menu) or try Hollywood Tavern where you can eat "kiddo burgers" with tater tots, ice cream sundaes and pear bourbon bread pudding around a fire pit.
