Puget Sound-area kids aren't even back in school yet, but at least one organization is starting to plan for Christmas.
Yes, you read that right.
The producers of Snowflake Lane, the holiday spectacle that lights up downtown Bellevue each night, will be holding auditions in September to fill some 250 positions, some of which are open to teen performers.
This year’s show will run 26 days: Nov. 29 through Dec. 24, and rehearsals begin in early- to mid-November.
Auditions are set for Sept. 14-22, depending on the position, and will be held in Bellevue.
The available roles are dancers, drummers, color guard, characters, float patrol and tech/stagehands. (Candidates for float patrol and tech positions go through interviews, not auditions.)
Positions are paid, and most cast and crew must be at least 16 years old, although 14- and 15-year-olds are accepted in certain circumstances.
