Families of Color Seattle, a local nonprofit that serves as a resource to help build strong and loving multicultural families, is launching an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to raise $25,000 for the upcoming FOCS Cornerstone Café. Slated to open in mid-October, the café will be housed in the Hillman City Collaboratory, a co-share work and community space. FOCS Cornerstone Café will provide a blend of family programming with arts and culture, as well as multilingual classes for children and parents. There will be a community café, drop-in childcare, forums, workshops, and outdoor play in the 4,000-square-foot community garden.
