Annual Community Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr

South Seattle College welcomes the community to their Annual Community Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr to celebrate his life and legacy as well as a kickoff to Seattle Colleges Social Week. The event will feature keynote speaker Tim Wise, music by National and International Award Winning Gospel Choir, DaNell Daymons and Greater Works, and emcee by Monique Ming Laven, KIRO 7 Evening Anchor. There will be prayers and blessings affiliated with Speak with Purpose.

Schedule:

• 9 a.m. - Hot breakfast and networking (Brockey Center)
• 10 a.m. - MLK celebration program begins (Brockey Center)
• 12:30 p.m. Program concludes (Brockey Center)
• 1 p.m. - Community conversation hosted by D'Andre
• 2 p.m. - Community conversation concludes, and celebration event adjourns (Brockey Center)
