Description
South Seattle College welcomes the community to their Annual Community Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr to celebrate his life and legacy as well as a kickoff to Seattle Colleges Social Week. The event will feature keynote speaker Tim Wise, music by National and International Award Winning Gospel Choir, DaNell Daymon and Greater Works, and emcee by two time Emmy Award-winning reporter and morning anchor for Kiro 7 TV, Deedee Sun. There will be prayers and blessings by Reverend Dr. Phyllis Beaumonteand.
If you plan to attend this yearās celebration, please RSVP by Friday, January 3, at 5 p.m. to ensure there is enough food and seating for everyone.
The event will begin with a hot breakfast that will be served from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and will include assorted pastries, bacon and sausage, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, assorted juices, and water.
Parking: Attendees should park in the South Lot, south of Brockey Center and Olympic Hall. Parking will be free for the day.
Sign-language interpretation will be provided.

- 1 p.m. - Community conversation hosted by EDIC (Olympic Hall Theater)
- 2 p.m. - Community conversation concludes and celebration event adjourns (Olympic Hall Theater)
