Celebrate Tet at the Little Saigon Creative

Experience Tết and Vietnamese culture in the heart of Seattle’s Vietnamese community during the multi-day festival for all ages. Celebrate Tet with festivities, including a music night, Lunar New Year Market, and a Bánh Tét Workshop at Little Saigon Creative this year to celebrate the year of the snake. Stay tuned for event updates through their Facebook Page.

During the Lunar New Year Market, you can expect cultural performances, including a lion dance, a Tet Market, paper flower workshops with Pink and Posey, and a book signing with Quynh.

On the last day of the celebration, they will have Bánh tét workshop, where you will make a cylindrical cake made from sticky rice, mung bean paste, pork fat, shallots, and black pepper, wrapped in banana leaves. It's a central food during Tết, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, and symbolizes good fortune and prosperity in the new year.

Friday, January 17 - Saigon Spin Music Night  - 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Cost: Suggested donation $10

Enjoy some great music, light snacks, and good vibes. SEA Vinyl Society will be spinning some great tracks. Cost is suggested donation of $10 and all ages welcome.

Saturday, January 18 - Lunar New Year Tet Market - 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Cost: Free, RSVP here.

Sunday, January 19 - Bánh Tét Workshop - 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Cost: $35 per person, register here.

This workshop will teach you how to make bánh tét - a traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year dish. Join and learn how to make this delicious dish to bring home and enjoy later.

Cost: Prices vary for each event. Friday Music night (01/17) suggested donation of $10, Tet market is free, and bánh tét workshop is $35.
