Description
The Steam Plant is open to the public every second Saturday. Join one of their knowledgeable docents for a free tour or explore the Plant on your own between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Xochitl Clare, a marine biologist and performing artist, will be joining this monthly Open Houses to bring ocean poetry to life in real time at the Steam Plant. Using a vintage typewriter, Xochitl creates personalized poetry with you -- inspired by the sea, blending improv theater with creative writing to reflect on themes like the ocean, climate change, and the wonder of marine life.
Tours are about an hour and leave at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Free parking on site.
