Description
Join Port Townsend Marine Science Center for a guided walk on the beach at low tide with PTMSC naturalists, and witness the unique adaptations for life to survive and thrive in the intertidal zone.
This event is family-friendly! Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Young children not able to walk (esp. babies) should be strapped on and not carried.

Meet at the PTMSC Museum exhibit portico entrance in Fort Worden State Park. Once you’re on the beach road, it is the second building on the left, past the pier. The beach is a .4 mile walk from the Museum. Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in.
They recommend weather-appropriate clothing and shoes with good traction for moving around on wet slippery rocks.
