Has your child ever wondered what itās like to work in healthcare?
Pediatric Nurse for a Day at Providence Swedish First Hill campus gives both kids and teens the opportunity to step into the shoes of a pediatric nurse.
Through a variety of interactive activities, theyāll develop new skills, gain a deeper appreciation for the world of nursing and proudly take home their commemorative diploma.
Date/Time:
- Ages 5-12: April 18 - 9 a.m. -11 a.m.
- Ages 13-18: April 18 - 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
At Pediatric Nurse for a Day, your child will learn some of the daily responsibilities through a variety of age-appropriate interactive activities, including:
- Emergency room station: Gain hands-on experience with stethoscopes and other medical tools
- Healthy habits station: Learn essential hygiene techniques for a safe hospital setting
- Simulated lab experience: Develop lab procedure skills by testing pretend samples
- Teddy bear/mannequin clinic: Practice critical care procedures, such as CPR and how to wrap bandages

How to enter:
Limited spots available. Submit your childās form today! A total of 50 participants will be selected from the submissions:
- 25 children (ages 5-12) for the morning session
- 25 teens (ages 13-18) for the afternoon session
Each participant needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Anyone between the ages of 5-18 years old thatās interested in entering should fill out the entry form with their parent or guardianās permission and assistance if needed.
Entries must be received through the official form no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. An entry doesnāt guarantee a spot at the event.
