Description
The Puget Sound Puppetry Festival will host multiple events September 11th-14th, 2024 in the historic Seattle neighborhood of Columbia City.
The festival offers over multiple performances by local and visiting artists, creative workshops for all ages, a special Jim Henson: Life and LegacyĀ Poster Exhibit, a puppet parade, Seattle Community Puppet Day, and multiple events ranging from the opening party, a special film screening, to a late-night puppet dance rave.
Seattle Community Puppet Day - Saturday, September 14, (ages 6+). Whether youāre a lifelong puppet aficionado or just curious about these charming, hand-crafted wonders, youāre in for a treat! The Seattle community is coming together to celebrate the magic of puppetry with a day full of spectacular performances, interactive workshops, and endless fun for the whole family. There will be stories, a special Jim Henson programming and more. The workshops and events on this day are Free but you must reserve your tickets. There will be a morning of community service from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Columbia Park and surrounding areas to clean up litter and keep the parks beautiful.
