Location
Flaming Geyser State Park
23700 SE Flaming Geyser Rd
Auburn, WA 98092
Description
The Salmon SEEson program shares the best stream and river locations in King County where people can see salmon as they return from the ocean in late summer and fall. Some locations are self-guided, while others feature volunteer naturalists to guide visitors in seeing salmon and learning about their lifecycle, efforts to protect them, and restoring habitat.
Spot Chinook/pink from September through December, coho from October through December and chum from November through December returning to Flaming Geyser State Park. Salmon can be seen on the bridge as you enter the State Park from SE Green Valley Rd on the west side of the Park.
You'll need a discover pass to park at the State Park. The parking lot is just after you cross the bridge into the State Park from SE Green Valley Rd, to the left on 228th Pl SE.
ContactĀ Chris GregersenĀ for updates on recent salmon activity in the watershed. For best viewing, visit in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid glare and bring polarized glasses.
