West Seattle Float Dodger 5K

Description

The West Seattle Float Dodger 5K is one of  Seattle’s most fun summer running traditions! Imagine running down California Ave SW, a main drag usually reserved for cars. Imagine being cheered by thousands of people the entire length of the run. Imagine trying to outrun the spectacular parade floats of the West Seattle Summer Parade.

Finish your run with a root beer float!

Kids join too with a FREE kids dash! - For kids under age 10. Please register your kiddos so we know how many to plan for. Kids will be running roughly a quarter mile.

The West Seattle Float Dodger 5K Details:

• 8:30 am - Registration and Packet Pickup opens
• 9:00 am - Free Kids Dash
• 9:00 am - California Ave SW closes to traffic
• 9:30 am - Race starts
• 9:45 am - Root Beer Floats start flowing
• 10:00 am - Awards ceremony
• 10:15 am - After party at West Seattle Runner
• 10:30 am - Parade floats are unleashed

Costumes are encouraged - some suggestions include Parade Princess, Pirate, Local Yocal (local West Seattle shops or landmarks), marching band....!

Strollers are allowed but they do ask that you start at the back of the pack. Unfortunately, dogs will not be allowed on the course or at Hiawatha.
