Researchers from the UW Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences (I-LABS) will present at the PEPS Parent Talk Lecture on Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Verity Credit Union, 11027 Meridian Ave. N. in Seattle. They will share the latest research on the importance of interactions and early relationships as the context that fosters all learning for children.

The presentation will focus on the foundations of cognitive and social/emotional development that are critical to a wide range of later skills, such as reading and making friends. Participants will learn how to observe their children in the real world for the purpose of creating and identifying meaningful interactions with their young children aged 0-5 years.

Register to attend now, as these talks can fill up fast. The cost is $15 per person. Babes in arms (younger than 6 months) are welcome, but crawlers and crooners should stay home with a caregiver.
