Spruce Street School is a kindergarten-through-fifth-grade school offering highly personalized instruction, social-emotional learning, and academic excellence. We encourage students to anchor their learning in real-world applications, preparing them to be enthusiastic lifelong learners and thoughtful, capable contributors to their communities.
We take an interdisciplinary approach to elementary education. Our program prepares children for holistic, lifelong learning rather than for compartmentalized training in discrete subjects. Science and social studies give our students the opportunity to experience life rather than simply learn about it. The classroom experience includes music instruction twice weekly, visual arts, and an artist-in-residence budget for each teacher. Each class creates an annual dramatic performance related to the themes they have learned over the year.
In everything we do, we strive to foster curiosity and wonder, celebrate discoveries, and make learning fun!
