Seattle Children's Theatre presents I’ll Be Your Superhero October 15 through November 1.
What does it take to be a superhero? When 10-year-old Xavier goes to live with his Marine veteran uncle, John John it isn’t easy. They instantly have to navigate big emotions and their new life together. Then a shared love of superheroes changes everything. Dressed as their favorite heroes, Xavier and John John set out for the world’s most famous Comic Con! What begins as a trip, becomes an adventure that challenges them to face their fears, trust each other, and discover that real-life superpowers can show up in unexpected ways.
Packed with imagination, humor, and superhero-sized fun, I’ll Be Your Superhero is an exciting world premiere about finding the courage to be yourself and discovering that sometimes the greatest heroes are right beside us.
This production is part of The BIPOC Superhero Project, a national collaboration creating new stories with diverse heroes who reflect the world around us.
