DISCOVER WASHINGTON STATE BALLET THEATER
Ballet & Dance Training in Fremont

What can dance become for your child?
At Washington State Ballet Theater (WSBT), dance is an opportunity to grow, developing technique and artistry while building confidence, musicality, discipline, creativity, and self-expression. Whether your child dreams of a professional future or simply loves to move, WSBT offers a place where every dancer can thrive.
Founded by internationally acclaimed ballet artists and educators Maximiliano Guerra and Myriam Barroso, WSBT brings decades of professional performance and teaching experience to a thoughtful approach to dance education in Seattle.
More than learning steps, students are guided to understand their movement, listen to music, express themselves artistically, and discover what they are capable of. Training is designed around each dancer’s progression, recognizing that children develop at different ages, levels, and paces.
A Place to Grow – At Every Level
WSBT welcomes dancers from 3 y.o. through adulthood, creating pathways for different interests, experience, and goals, from recreational dancers to those
seeking advanced training.

Children’s Program | Ages 3-7 Years
A nurturing introduction to dance that develops coordination, musicality, body awareness, expression, confidence, and a joyful
relationship with movement.
Junior Program | Ages 8-12 Years
Developing ballet technique, artistry, musicality, discipline, and confidence while encouraging each dancer’s growth, whether they dance once a
week or every day.
Pre-Professional Program | Ages 13+
Focused training for dancers seeking greater technical and artistic development, performance preparation, and a strong foundation for advanced
and professional ballet training.

Excellence Division
For dancers ready for an elevated level of training and greater commitment to their technical and artistic development.
Open Program | Ages 8+
A flexible option for dancers who want to take individual classes based on their level, interests, and schedule, perfect for recreational dancers, multi-sport students, or anyone exploring ballet without enrolling in a full program.
Adult Program | Ages 15+
Whether returning to ballet or discovering it for the first time, adults can enjoy the benefits of ballet in a welcoming, supportive training environment.

A Flexible Way to Experience WSBT
Not every dancer needs, or is ready for, a full curriculum. The Open Program for ages 8+ offers the freedom to take individual classes without committing to a full program.
It can be a way to discover ballet, supplement existing dance training, return to the studio, explore new styles, or simply dance because it brings joy.
At WSBT, there is no single path into dance. What matters is having a place where dancers feel encouraged to learn, challenged to grow, and supported as they discover their own artistic voice.
