Founded in 1981, Cedar River Montessori is an independent, AMS-accredited nonprofit school that nurtures curious, engaged global thinkers through exploration, inquiry, and connection with nature. On a 12-acre campus, students grow within a diverse community grounded in respect for themselves, one another, and the world around them through intentional experiences in animal behavior and husbandry, organic gardening, and environmental and social justice. Students graduate from Cedar River Montessori as confident, lifelong learners with a sense of responsibility to their community and the world.
