Seattle Waldorf School: Where kids learn joyfully!

At Seattle Waldorf School, learning is dynamic, experiential, and collaborative, ensuring that each student’s intellectual, social, and emotional capacities flourish. Through intentionally small class sizes, a low teacher-to-student ratio, and stable class cohorts, our faculty prioritizes real-world and collaborative learning. Rather than relying on instructional apps and devices, teachers plan lessons and guide classroom dynamics in accordance with their students’ unique personalities, needs, and interests. Students bring their whole selves to school every day to engage in learning that is joyful!

With an emphasis on experiential education and interdisciplinary work, students learn to think critically, communicate effectively, problem-solve collaboratively, and lead with empathy—skills essential for success in high school, college, and beyond.

Families are drawn to our school because of our play-based curriculum, arts-infused academics, experiential opportunities, and an intentional and slow approach to digital technology. Our youngest learners play outside in all seasons and wonder, reverence, and joy are at the heart of our early childhood program. Our grade school students learn collaboratively and face-to-face with teachers and classmates, laying a strong foundation for academic success. And in middle school, students are given more responsibility and a larger stage on which to shine. Students find great success in their next step after 8th grade, entering high school prepared academically, socially in tune, and excited for new opportunities. Come to our All-School Open House on November 7 to see for yourself!
