A Light on Lake Sammamish! SAMBICA is the adventure playground where your camper will have the BEST SUMMER EVER. Children unplug from electronic devices to explore a world of beauty and delight alongside caring, college-aged counselors who are intentionally chosen as role models for your child.
During 10 weeks of summer, kids come alive through thrilling play and healthy activity in an uplifting environment. Situated on the shores of Lake Sammamish, SAMBICA offers a wide variety of water recreation: tubing, banana boating, wakeboarding, swimming, high dive, low dive, waterslide, fishing, floating obstacle course, and our iconic Mt. Rainier inflatable. Campers enjoy the waterfront in the morning and afternoon of each day at camp. SAMBICA employs lifeguards certified in both pool and open water to ensure the safety of your child at all times.
From the lake to the trees, SAMBICA campers have vast opportunities to explore the heights and conquer their fears. With our top-rated high ropes course and vertical play-pen, kids get to explore their way through many different elements of the course, growing in decision making, overcoming obstacles, and navigating and supporting fellow cabinmates! We also offer the “Flying Squirrel”, a camp favorite swing, where campers fly through the sky, securely held by our ropes system. The full cabin works together to create the thrill of a lifetime for each flyer.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of what kinds of play campers get to experience; from energetic rallies that include games and skits to basketball, volleyball, and spikeball to organized field games that include classics like Capture the Flag and SAMBICA traditions like Boffer Wars. The play is endless at SAMBICA!
Campers are experiencing greater faith, hope, and love in community with each other and with their counselors every summer. Each camper is placed in a cabin with 7-9 other kids of the same age/gender. They cultivate meaningful friendships and lasting memories in a life-giving environment! In addition, we recruit top staff from colleges around the country, focusing on responsible and faithful leaders. We hold extensive application, interview, and background check processes on each staff member.
Beyond summer, SAMBICA provides exhilarating youth camp programs, youth retreats, and fishing, pickleball, and volleyball mini-camps throughout the fall and spring, as well as an annual Christmas Carnival!
