Description
Spring Children’s Book Day is happening on Saturday, May 27. Representation matters in children’s literature, and in partnership with Seattle Urban Book Expo (SUBE), Town Hall Seattle is pleased to host the Spring Children’s Book Day just in time for the end of the school year.
Seattle's Child is the proud Media Sponsor of Spring Children's Book Day.
With 18 authors and local educational organizations present, it will be a day of positivity, uplifting stories, family-friendly activities, and the opportunity to meet — and purchase books from — some favorite BIPOC writers!Activities include:
Authors present at tables include Chanita Stone, author of "Caleb Has Something to Say", Halisi Ali El author of "The story of Naturella" an ethnic Cinderella tale that encourages self love, and author and founder of Urban Book Expo and the Seattle Children's Book Festival, Jeffrey Cheatham II

The Double Dutch Divas with be jumping in the plaza at Town Hall from 2-3:30
Face painter
The local organization, Reading Partners, will host a bookmark-making activity and giveaways of books and school supplies
