
Since its opening in 2003, The Children’s Museum of Skagit County (CMSC) has provided informal education to over 80,000 visitors per year by encouraging learning through play in exhibits built just for young minds. Focusing on early childhood education of all kinds is proven to create lifelong learners who excel throughout their formal education careers and into adulthood. Through day-to-day play in the Museum, camps, classes, the Museum Explorers Preschool, outreach, and partnerships with community groups and events, the Museum makes learning about science, technology, engineering, art, math, and culture fun. With over 15,000 Square feet of interactive exhibits, including a real semi-truck and Ranger Tug, Art Studio, Library, STEAM Lane, Toddler Farmyard, Stage, Music Room, Market, Doctor’s Office, Bank, Diner, Dentist’s office, Sensory Room and more, there is something for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
