Advocate for Families at Have a Heart for Kids Day

Connect with youth and family advocated from across Washington to speak up for children

Join the Children's Alliance on Have a Heart for Kids Day Monday, Feb. 2 to speak up for children. Connect with hundreds of youth and family advocates from across Washington to rally on the Capitol steps and meet with legislators.

The day will include a brief training for new advocates and opportunities for you to visit with your legislators, deliver handwritten notes and speak up for kids and families. As lawmakers convene to make decisions about the future of our state, they need to hear from parents and child advocates.

The Children’s Alliance 2015 legislative agenda calls on state legislators to take five actions to clear the path of opportunity for Washington's children: end childhood hunger, invest in early learning, secure health for all kids, and close outdated and unnecessary tax preferences and adopt new sources of revenue. Learn more about the agenda here.

Be sure to register in advance even if you will be attending only a portion of the day, so that Children's Alliance staff can plan for materials, food and logistics. If you have any questions about this event, contact Emijah Smith at 206-324-0340 ext. 25 or emijah@childrensalliance.org.
