Camp Erin, a three-day annual overnight camp for kids in the process of grieving, is open for its August 16-18 session. Camp Erin still has space in this year’s session for teens between 13 and 18.
Camp Erin is a space where teens can participate in traditional camp activities and bond with their fellow campers in a safe space with experienced staff members trained in grief support. The camp is facilitated by staff members affiliated with Safe Crossings, a Seattle children’s grief support program, and offers activities like swimming, arts and crafts, and bonfires, as well as therapeutic activities tailored toward grief management and coping.
Camp Erin is hosted at Camp Korey in Carnation from August 16-18; contact christopher.olson@providence.org or check out their website here.
