Whether it’s summer camps, after-school art classes, weekend workshops, or even parent date-night events, Splashing Cat Studio provides kids with the tools, guidance, and encouragement to explore their creativity and make meaningful art.
At Splashing Cat Studio, your child will develop confidence and creative thinking skills, build fine motor skills, and discover new ways to express themselves. Our programs emphasize process over product, allowing kids to take artistic risks and explore their ideas using a wide range of materials, media, and techniques. From painting, drawing, and printmaking to sculpture, mixed media, and collaborative projects, there’s always something new to discover.
Summer Art Camps
Our week-long educational art camps focus on a new theme and medium each week. Examples include camps on making paper, books, and boxes, DIY fashion wearable art, and art without limits mixing art and science.
Each week includes:
- Daily creative warm-up exercises
- Art-making sessions
- Exposure to artists from a range of cultures, identities, and time periods
- Time for collaborative projects or outdoor art (weather permitting)
- Snacks and breaks for socializing
Camp days run from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. We also offer optional extended care after camp from 3:00-6:00 PM, perfect for working families.
After-School Art Classes
Enrich your child’s week with our after-school classes, held on Wednesday early-release days from 2:30-4:00 PM (for students in grades 1-5 in the Northshore and Lake Washington school districts). These classes offer structured, supportive art time right after school, encouraging both creativity and independence. Available to book on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Extended care after class is available from 4:00-6:00 PM, making this a great solution for busy households.
Saturday Classes
Make Saturdays a day for creativity! Our project-based weekend art classes offer a focused art experience for kids and tweens. These classes are a great way to supplement kids’ arts education while parents and caregivers enjoy a little free time to themselves.
- Morning classes from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM are for ages 5-7
- Afternoon classes from 1:00-3:00 PM are for ages 8-12
School Break Camps
Wondering what to do when school’s out? We’ve got you covered. Splashing Cat Studio offers specialty art camps and classes during school breaks and teacher in-service days, keeping kids busy and engaged when they’re not in school.
Parent Date Night
Parents and caregivers deserve a break, too! Drop your kids off at Splashing Cat Studio for a Parent Date Night session and go enjoy your evening. While you relax, kids will be having a blast making art, playing games, and enjoying supervised fun in a safe, welcoming space.
