2026 Summer Camps and Classes
As parents, you want your Seattle student’s summer to be both enriching and memorable. The Summer Springboard program at the University of Washington offers high school students in grades 9-12 the chance to spend two weeks living and learning right here in Seattle on a top public research campus. Students choose from a variety of academic tracks in areas such as business and law, engineering and science, or medicine and healthcare, allowing them to explore interests that align with future goals and passions. Beyond classroom learning, the program includes company visits in the Seattle area, personal development workshops and college prep activities designed to build confidence and sharpen skills that matter for success in college and beyond. Residential students enjoy campus life in UW dorms with meals and organized social events, while commuter students can still take part in the full daily experience, excursions and enrichment programming. Weekend outings to iconic local destinations like Pike Place Market and ferry tours make this a summer adventure that combines academic growth with fun and cultural exploration.

For students particularly interested in business, the Summer Springboard experience at the UW Foster School of Business is an especially powerful option. This intensive program, designed for rising 10th graders through high school seniors, is taught by Foster faculty and emphasizes real-world skills in leadership, communication, and strategic thinking. Students engage with topics like business strategy, marketing concepts and financial fundamentals while building teamwork and presentation skills that are crucial for college success and future careers. The curriculum integrates company site visits to some of Seattle’s leading global firms, giving your teen firsthand exposure to the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that define this region. An alternative one-week Business Startup Bootcamp focuses on hands-on entrepreneurial experience, where students work in small teams to develop and pitch a product-based startup, applying design thinking and market research techniques that complement academic learning with practical problem-solving. Both of these Foster School offerings allow students to immerse themselves in a professional learning environment that strengthens critical thinking and builds confidence.

Choosing either Summer Springboard at the University of Washington or the Foster School of Business means investing in a summer that goes beyond typical camps. In addition to these two programs for high school students, we also offer a one-week summer program at the University of Washington for middle school students. Together, these experiences provide structured academic work, opportunities to meet peers from diverse backgrounds, and real exposure to college life and local industry.
