Additional information

At Billings Middle School, we believe the middle school years are not simply a bridge between childhood and high school, but a transformative stage of growth deserving of focused attention and expertise. As a stand-alone middle school serving grades 6–8, Billings is intentionally designed around the academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of early adolescents. Our faculty specialize in this unique age group, creating an environment where students are deeply known, supported, and challenged as they discover who they are and how they learn best.

Guided by our mission to inspire students through academic challenge, personal discovery, outdoor and experiential learning, and community connection, Billings offers an engaging, hands-on educational experience that encourages curiosity, confidence, and resilience. Students learn through integrated curriculum, expeditionary education, field studies, arts, athletics, and meaningful advisory relationships that foster both intellectual growth and strong social-emotional development.

Our small, close-knit community empowers students to take risks, advocate for themselves, and build lasting connections with peers and teachers. Through rigorous academics balanced with creativity, collaboration, and exploration, Billings graduates leave prepared to thrive in competitive high schools and beyond as thoughtful communicators, critical thinkers, and engaged citizens.
