Creating academic excellence at Brighton School
Links to Learning, our preschool curriculum for children ages three to five years, takes advantage of a child’s readiness to learn with activities that are fun, challenging, and engaging. At each stage of the preschool journey, we introduce new concepts and skills to prepare students for kindergarten and beyond.
In the elementary and middle school years, we provide a rigorous curriculum for the core subjects of language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, foreign language, and the arts. Brighton’s curriculum, designed by a team of highly skilled experts in curriculum design, instruction, and assessment, meets or exceeds state standards. Our learning spaces include a music room, art studio, science lab, STEAM lab, multipurpose room, media center, and multiple playgrounds for outdoor discovery.
Our teachers enrich the curriculum to provide additional support or greater challenges. They seek opportunities to incorporate technology tools in all aspects of classroom teaching and learning.
Exploring the world of STEAM
Students will need STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) education for future success in school and careers. At Brighton School, students experience STEAM through challenging and fun projects that encourage problem-solving, decision-making, and innovation. Students work in our STEAM lab, using a variety of tools to construct solutions to an array of engineering challenges. Our middle school students also have the opportunity to participate in our video editing and animation electives.
Technology-rich environment
Brighton School provides a technology-rich environment that supports the development of 21st century skills, and helps us customize each child’s learning. We provide students in kindergarten through eighth grade with their own iPad® to interactively engage with content.
Come for a tour and experience our vibrant, supportive learning environment that sets students up for success. We look forward to welcoming you to Brighton School.
