At Evergreen Academy, we offer a strong complement of specialty instruction in the areas of Art, Spanish/French, Library, Performing Arts, Physical Education, and Technology. We have professional instructors who are dedicated to these additional content areas. These instructors work closely with our classroom teachers to provide a meaningful experience that connects students’ work in the classroom to their lives outside of school.
We provide personalized learning plans for every student; the effort to meet each child’s needs for growth socially, emotionally, and academically is intentional and consistent as they progress from one grade to the next. The use of formative and summative assessments to gather data on the academic growth of our students enables us to develop appropriate individualized instruction. Regular review and revision of the curriculum help us to ensure that we are delivering the best possible learning experience for our students. Our teachers “know” their students and can identify their strengths, challenges, and passions while striving for a positive school experience and love of learning.
Education extends beyond the classroom. From school events to social gatherings, we give everyone an opportunity to participate and come together as a school community. Our thoughtful planned field trips help bring learning to life as we provide students an opportunity to explore the community and make real-world discoveries and connections to what they are learning.
At Evergreen Academy, we learn about giving back through community service by providing ample opportunities for students to contribute to the local community and learn civic responsibility. Each year, our students take the lead in the development and implementation of every project as they raise money for local charities, and in the process, learn about the value of community service.
