Additional information

Three Tree Montessori School (TTMS) is an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI)-recognized school dedicated to helping children become independent, creative, capable, and joyful citizens of the world. Through authentic Montessori education, children develop self-directed critical thinking, respect for others and the natural world, and a lifelong love of learning.

TTMS serves children from 15 months through 12 years in bright, beautiful, purposefully designed multi-age classrooms. Our thoughtfully prepared environments give children the freedom to explore, make choices, practice new skills, and pursue meaningful work while providing the structure and guidance they need to thrive.

For children ages 15 months to 3 years, the Toddler Program provides a carefully prepared environment that meets the unique developmental needs of young children. Through purposeful experiences and gentle guidance, children develop their emerging independence, coordination, concentration, and sense of order. They learn to care for themselves and their environment while developing social skills within a warm and nurturing community.

Children ages 2.5 to 6 years join our Children’s House Program, where they experience the full breadth of the Montessori curriculum. Hands-on materials and carefully sequenced lessons support learning in practical life, sensorial exploration, mathematics, and language, while history, geometry, biology, geology, and geography help children begin to understand the world around them. Art, music, and literature are woven naturally throughout the classroom experience. Through daily interactions and modeling, children develop respect, empathy, independence, and a deep sense of care for their community and environment.

In the Elementary Program, children ages 6 to 12 are ready to move beyond simply acquiring information and begin asking bigger questions about the universe and their place within it. Montessori materials and lessons provide a foundation for deep academic exploration, while collaborative work allows children to learn from one another and contribute their individual strengths. Research, projects, and real-world experiences encourage children to investigate the “how” and “why” behind both tangible and intangible aspects of their world.

The Elementary years also offer children increasing opportunities for independence and leadership. As they progress through the three-year classroom cycle, children take on greater responsibility for their work, their community, and one another. They learn to manage projects, solve problems, collaborate, communicate, and apply their knowledge beyond the classroom—building the practical skills and confidence that Montessori calls Education for Life.

Across all three programs, TTMS honors the whole child. Children are supported not only as learners, but as members of a community. Mixed-age classrooms foster meaningful relationships, leadership, collaboration, and Grace and Courtesy, while the Montessori approach allows children to develop at their own pace and experience the satisfaction of mastering something for themselves.

Three Tree Montessori School offers half- and full-day programs, before- and after-school care, and tuition assistance. We invite prospective families to visit our school, observe our classrooms, and experience the Montessori difference firsthand.
